Developing a new architecture for data reporting and analytics

Ortecha is currently helping a major UK retail bank develop a new architecture for data reporting and analytics. When completed this new architecture will give the bank a much deeper understanding of the underlying data used to create management information/business intelligence for its commercial banking operations.

These changes are bringing clarity to a process hampered previously by a lack of visibility and traceability of data in some parts of the enterprise. It means the bank now has much more effective control over this part of its data reporting and analytics capabilities. The new architecture will also reduce the cost of running data management and analytics functions. It will also reduce the costs and complexity of any alterations made to data solutions in future, because the solution and the data flows within it are now properly documented, and use processes based on industry best practice.
