What is this Privacy Notice for?

This privacy notice is for Ortecha, and any associated materials (including the website ortecha.com), and governs the privacy of its users who choose to use its services. When we refer to ‘Ortecha’ in this Privacy Notice we mean Ortecha Ltd (UK) and Ortecha LLC (USA).

 

The notice sets out the different areas where user privacy is concerned and outlines the obligations and requirements of the users, the website and Ortecha. Furthermore, the way Ortecha and this website processes, stores and protects user data and information will also be detailed within this notice.

Who is Ortecha and how can you contact us?

When applying for a posted position or requesting information Ortecha is responsible for processing the personal information you provide to us and is registered with the Information Commissioners Office in the UK under the UK Data Protection Act 1998. Contact & Communication

Users contacting Ortecha do so at their own discretion and provide any such personal details requested at their own risk. Your personal information is kept private and stored securely until a time it is no longer required or has no use, as detailed in the Data Protection Act 1998. Every effort has been made to ensure a safe and secure form to email submission process but advise users using such form to email processes that they do so at their own risk.

 

Ortecha uses any information submitted by you to provide you with further information about the products / services we offer or to assist you in answering any questions or queries you may have submitted. This includes using your details to subscribe you to any email newsletter program the website operates but only if this was made clear to you and your express permission was granted when submitting any form to email process. Or whereby you, the consumer, have previously purchased from or enquired about purchasing from Ortecha a product or service that the email newsletter relates to. This is by no means an entire list of your user rights in regard to receiving email marketing material. Your details are in general not passed on to any third parties.

 

If applying for an position you may be required to submit your job history and background details to a third party job verification processor so that your employment history and references can be checked and verified. The Background Checking service is fully compliant with the GDPR regulations. If you meet the position requirements and have passed internal interviews Ortecha will submit your email address to the processor, from there to proceed further in the verification process you must authorise the background checking company to process your details in order to complete the verification process.

 

When submitting information regarding positions advertised to Ortecha for processing it processes the information based off legitimate interests. All submitted information will be retained for a four (4) years, so that if another position opens up and is appropriate for the company or individual we may reach out electronically to see if they are interested. All such correspondence will be accompanied with this privacy notice and a notice indicating their right to object to processing and right of erasure.

Personal Data Rights

Ortecha firmly believes in privacy by design, and only requests and requires the minimal personal data necessary when processing requests. As such Ortecha respects all of the individual data rights as outlined in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Right of Access

If you have applied for a job offered by Ortecha or provided any personal data to Ortecha you have the right to: get confirmation your data is being processed, access to your personal data; and other supplementary information.

 

To make a right of access request please email privacy@ortecha.com with the subject line “Right of Access Request”, or call the office and leave a message indicating you want to exercise your right of access.

Right to Rectification

If your personal data is held by Ortecha, and is deemed to be incorrect you can make a request for rectification verbally or in writing. To make a right of rectification request please email privacy@ortecha.com with the subject line “Right of Rectification Request”, or call the office and leave a message indicating you want to exercise your right of rectification.

Right to Erasure

If your personal data is held by Ortecha you have a right to have your personal data erased. Unless there are legal or data retention obligations then Ortecha will erase all your personal data in its possession. To make a right of erasure request please email privacy@ortecha.com with the subject line “Right of Erasure Request”, or call the office and leave a message indicating you want to exercise your right of erasure.

Right to Object

If your personal data is held by Ortecha you have a right to object to Ortecha processing your personal data on legitimate interests. Ortecha take a proactive approach to user privacy and ensure the necessary steps are taken to protect the privacy of its users throughout their visiting experience. This website complies to all UK national laws and requirements for user privacy.

All personal details relating to subscriptions are held securely and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. No personal details are passed on to third parties nor shared with companies / people outside of the company that operates this website. Under the Data Protection Act 1998 you may request a copy of personal information held about you by this website’s email newsletter program. A small fee will be payable. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please write to the business address at the bottom of this notice.

 

Email marketing campaigns published by this website or Ortecha may contain tracking facilities within the actual email. Subscriber activity may be tracked and stored in a database for future analysis and evaluation. Such tracked activity may include; the opening of emails, forwarding of emails, the clicking of links within the email content, times, dates and frequency of activity (this is not a comprehensive list).
