No, it doesn't. CDMC is an open-sourced license by the EDM Association, so anyone can use it and be trained on it.
In private classes, we use the same core materials, but bring decades of experience in data, analytics and AI, plus dozens of DCAM and CDMC assessments into the conversation. That means we make it more practical and directly relevant to your context. If you’ve already done a CDMC Assessment with us, we’ll customise the training to your organisation’s control descriptions.

Not at all. We start from the ground up, introducing concepts step by step, with examples drawn from real client scenarios.
Yes, we run both in-person and virtual sessions. In-person tends to drive deeper discussion, but we also deliver effective global sessions across multiple time zones.
The final CDMC exam is optional. If you'd like official certification, you can take the EDM Association's online exam at the end of the course. If you pass (70% exam mark) you'll receive a digital certificate and Credly badge that you can show off on LinkedIn and email signatures.
When new versions launch, you'll need to do an Upgrade course to keep your certification. These are shorter courses meant to refresh knowledge and update you on what's new.
